- Benefits of Nature (1 week)
- Stress Busters (3 weeks)
- Creative Safe Space (2 weeks)
The Recovery College, which is a service provided by Oxfordshire Foundation NHS Trust offers a different approach to support those affected by mental health issues.
Buckinghamshire Recovery College Course are available to those service users, carers who live in Buckinghamshire and Oxford Health Staff. All persons who attend the college are seen as “students”.
Rather than taking a clinical or therapeutic approach the College takes an educational approach to recovery – the more we can learn about ourselves, a particular diagnosis, or about tried-and-tested strategies, the more we can look after ourselves and each other.
Courses are designed to help develop knowledge and understanding, and to gain some practical tools for recovery, mental health, living well and education.
All courses are devised and delivered by both an ‘Expert by Experience’ and an ‘Expert by Training. This combined knowledge of experience and training provides students with relevant education, knowledge and tools which they can use to help with their recovery.
Paul Wells, Acting Recovery College Lead “I’m am pleased to announce these on-line courses. I hope that students enjoy their time at the college and wish them every success on their chosen course.”
The online can be viewed on our courses page.
